A step-by-step guide to the IDC website:

Search page (continued.)
Using 'Constraint queries':
Three of the main query options: PlasmoDB ID, ORF description and Oligonucleotide ID can be constrained using the 'Constraints' section. As shown below, there are seven different constraint conditions which can be used before starting your search. After selecting your query type (PlasmoDB ID, ORF description or Oligonucleotide ID), just enter the appropriate number(s) for each condition that you would like constrained before pressing 'Search'.
Queries can be constrained by:
1. Time: Search for elements that have maximum or minimum induction times at specific hours of the IDC.
2. Fast Fourier transform score: Search for elements that scored above or below a specific score.
3. Amplitude: Search for elements that have amplitudes above or below a certain number.
4. Comparative genomic hybridization (CGH): Search for elements that have a CGH score above or below a certain percentage.
5. Sum of Median Intensities: Search for elements that have a specific average sum of median intensities.
6. Uniqueness of the oligonucleotide: When the box is checked, only unique oligonucleotides will be searched. All oligonucleotides are searched when the box is not checked.
7. Quality of the data: When the box is checked, only oligonucleotides that have passed the quality control filters will be searched. When not checked, all oligonucleotides will be searched.
